oh yes, get an antique curator to look at them, one who specializes in books, do not sell them to the first offer, or do not sell them at all, they will grow in value, take care of them.

I would recommend Oliver Twist because it has childlike theme but at the same time has the grimness for a growing 14 year-old, it has great lesson and at the same time it's one of the best and loved novel of all time, together with a christmas carol, it's also somewhat an autobiography of Charles Dickens when he was a child and it is well suited for a Charles Dickens fan just like you, hope you enjoy it as I did, Good luck.

Yes. Even though 100 years only goes back to 1906, still they may be more than that, and besides, very few books that old survive in good condition. But at that age, condition is everything. Well, perhaps not everything, but it is clearly the most important thing once we know that these are Dickens. Certainly a full set in good condition is a valuable treasure. Have a professional evaluate them for the sake of your grandfather's estate plan and insurance. And don't take anyone seriously who wants to have you bring them to him instead of going to see them at your grandfather's house. He views them in situ, as they say, and with at least a couple of witnesses. I'm serious; that's a treasure you apparently have there.

Yes...get in touch with an antique person, or a book collector. Don't go to pawn shop. They are worth more, the better the condition they are in. Also Charles Dickens is a popular author

Go to this website and you can see what other Charles Dickens books are auctioning for right now. Do a search in rare books and type in Charles Dickensas keyword and you will get a list of his books on auction and see description of books and value/asking price. Good Luck!

Yes, I would think so. By the way, if any of those books have paper jackets, KEEP THOSE JACKETS ON THE BOOKS! They can actually multiply the value of the books (I learned to my horror!)

They're worth nothing if you don't read them. A book is only good if it's read.
