I guess if you owe money for dinner they can do whatever they want to make you pay for it. My favorite is having sex with young ladies who can't pay for dinner!

They probably just call the police... if it is two people & they both forgot their money, then it is probably a scam...
If it is an honest thing they can probably trust you if you leave your wallet or drivers license or something.
Don't go out to eat if you have no money....
