He needs to end the friendship with her just out of respect for you, especially with her feeling the way she does. She has basically said be with her until I get myself together then dump her and come home to me. I may be reading this all wrong, but just take caution.

No bad idea, I am going through the same thing. My ex and I have been broken up for a while but we can't seem to quit talking to eachother. I know that it is preventing me from moving on. So I finally made the decision that I have to move on with my life because there is nothing there anymore between us or in our future that would change things. Just move on it is the best thing for you. Why we always put ourselves through these torture games in our minds about our exes, I wish I knew. Go out enjoy being single.

Doesnt sound like she's his 'past love'. If her life 'wasnt on track' in the past couple of years...perhaps she wasnt pursuing him for a committed relationship either. They liked each other for whatever reasons but doesnt sound like a love match and both should go their separate ways.

I AM NOT SURE WHAT YOUR QUESTION IS, BUT WHATEVER THE CASE, A GUY SHOULD MOVE ON FROM A PAST LOVE. IF THEY SPLIT UP, THEN HE SHOULD MOVE ON. STAYING CONNECTED IS LIKE CARRYING BAGGAGE, AND BAGGAGE CONTAMINATES FUTURE RELATIONSHIPS. HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOUR MAN WAS STILL CONNECTED TO HIS EX? WHAT ABOUT LOYALTY TO YOUR CURRENT LOVED ONES?

No, why waste your time?
Men and women don't naturally like each other - why would you want to hang around with her?

If she has more intimate intentions and he is being naive...I would have to step in and express myself.
