If you have to ask you don't know enough about turbos to make it worth having one. Besides a turbo on a golf isn't going to do much, your wasting your money.

It would be a heavy mod. Most kits make a union with the exhaust manifold before the pipe to power a turbine and the plumbing that makes it to the catalytic convertor, then the muffler and then the tailpipe has to be changed. I doubt you'd be legal on the smog test after all that. The other 'chargers would require an extra pulley on the front of the engine, extra heavy duty mod there. Race cars are just not street legal anymore.

I wouldn't do it on a VW motor. You will likely destroy it. Honestly you are better off just buying a faster car if you need more speed.

Worth it??

A?nything that makes your car go over 70 MPH is an absolute wate of money, unless you think it will make you cool, in which case it is priceless
