If the Tiger's miss the playoffs it just means that all things are as they should be. This really isn't a playoof team.

If they don't make it I would really be surprised. The have a 5 game lead over the White Sox with 13 games to go. They may not be able to hold off the Twins (1 game behind) for the division title, but it seems unlikely they could not hold off the White Sox. They have a 3 game series left with the White Sox in Chicago starting tonight as you know. Anything short of a sweep by the White Sox probably dooms the White Sox to missing the playoffs. I think the Tigers will stumble into the playoffs.

That would be worst the the Philadelphia Eagles lost this weekend. Even if they don't win the division, they should get the wild card, unless they screw up big time.
The division should be between the Twins and the Tiger, with the one that doesn't take the division getting the wild card. The White Sox are all but out of it, unless some miracle happens.

The Tigers missing the playoffs would well contribute to the city of Detroit's rich traditional values.

Well, then they would be watching the playoffs from home like they have done since the early 1990's
The series this week will tell us if our beloved Tigers will make it. They need ot have a good showing against the White Sox.

I'm not going to be surprised. They dont have any playoffs experience of even a penant race to show for this past few years. We all saw what the Tigers did the the first 3 quarters of this season, they dominated and everybody was already counting everybody else out, not even looking at the real scenario.
Then what is happening now? We see them collapse because of inexperience and lack of poise when it comes to crunch time. So I hope they do make it to the playoffs but it is not gonna be a miracle if they dont.

They wont. Either as the wild card or division winner, Detroit makes the playoffs.
Even, if by some wierd freakish off the wall chance, they do miss the playoffs--they still have had one of thier best seasons in 19 years.
That makes me happy.

losing placido polanco hurt the tigers more than most people thought. it is sad but they have played with a big heart. i still think they will make the playoffs. also, ozzie guillen for the white sox ran his mouth one to many times and jumped on his players in public which was real bad form! he opened the door for the twins and tigers to get in. those teams have very good low key managers who know how to act in front of the camera's! i truly believe if he had managed this year like last year the white sox would be in the playoffs but the team is playing tight and that is because of ozzie!

I'd laugh at all the Tigers fans on yahoo! who said the Tigers were the greatest and that the Yankees suck and the Twins suck and the ChiSox was all fake and will never happen and all of that.
Either way, they have about 5% chance of making World Series cuz all the other teams own them except for the Twins.
