The most likely causes are an abcess (a little patch of infection), a hair follicle that's got infected due to shaving, or a lymph node that's swollen from an infection like a cough, that you may not have even noticed. The first 2 are easily fixed and lymph nodes will sort themselves out. Obviously, cancer is a possibility, but the chances are much smaller, especially if the lump is new, mobile, soft, smooth or sore!
The best plan is a trip to the GP in the morning, explain your concerns, what you're most worried about and make sure they explain so you understand. Ask questions.
And don't panic!

It could be a mucas filled lump. My old next door neighbour found one once. The doctor felt the lump and asked her if she has had 'influenza recently. I have a friend who has a condition which makes benign fatty lumps appear sporadically under her skin on her arms .It could be an allergic reaction to a new razor if it is a different brand or even an infected pore waiting to turn in to a spot.
Big hugs and kind thoughts to you. x

If you are not shop-lifting golf balls, go to the doctor!
I found when I took HRT that I had swollen lymph glands, too.
I quit taking them and poof-gone.
Ask your GP if there is anything other than HRT you can take. They are a very mixed blessing. Read up on them. Doctors love to throw pills at illness instead actually doctoring.
I felt HRT was worse than the loss of bone mass. I take exercise and try to eat well, and take vitamins for bone health.
Good luck.

Ths is not advice you should be asking the general public about.
Seriously, I know you are worried, but some answers may make you worry more,
Take it easy, the morning will come soon enough. Your GP is the only to help you under the circumstances, even if it is just to confirm that everything is OK.

I would have it checked to be on the safe side.
It could just be a swollen lymph node or a clogged pore, but when it comes to lumps, you are better off to have a professional check to be sure.

Don't panic. It may just be a cyst caused by the blocking up of the sebacious gland due to shaving. I had one and a doctor sliced it and drained it and put a stitch in, and that was the end of it. So hopefully that's all it will be.

I have them all the time in fact i have one under my arm and it is the size of two 2p pieces, does it have nasty stuff coming out of it, i mean like a greenish, brownish like smelly sh** it has something to do with lymph nodes, do you suffer with them a lot? leave me a message on 360 i will get back to you. I use Magnesium Sulphate to draw all the sh** out, i don't know how dangerous they are but your doc will tell ya tomorrow

It's probably just a swollen lymph node or cyst. These are actually quite common and should clear up on its own. Shaving is a frequent cause of these.

It could be any number of things that are NOT cancer so relax. Did you know that shaving could have caused the lump (ingrown hair) or that deodorant can cause it? Or an infected sweat gland?
Just see your doctor in the morning.

prolly just a swollen lymph node. Ive had that and my daughter (17 yrs old) has also had that we saw the doctor and its only a lymph node. It will go away in a two to three weeks. If It continues longer than that It wouldnt hurt to see your doctor. But I wouldnt worry to much..
