Someone I work with became a grandmother at age 39 and loves it..... you're still young enough to enjoy your grandkids, do a lot with them and most likely will be while they're growing up.

My friend Michael was a grandfather at 34, and a great-grandfather at 51. He was raised by his grandparents and he raised his son's child. That seems to be the way it works in that family. Really, it makes sense -- a 17-year-old isn't nearly as well equipped to raise a child as a 34-year-old. Wish someone along the way would discover birth control, though.
Country singer Loretta Lynn was a grandmother at 28!!!

I became a grandfather at age 36. I couldn't be happier about it.
My brother became a father at 14 and a grandfather at 32. He's dreading becoming a great grandfather before reaching 65.

Pray that the situation is stable but doing the math, it's hard to believe that it was planned...but sounds like an acceptable standard passed down from the parents.
If someone is 35 and has a child who is having a child, that means the original parent and the child were roughly 15-18 when having the baby.

I would be fine with it if my son/daughter was married and having a child. If not I would be worried for the child and my childs future but I would do what I could to help them out.
However seeing that I am 33 and have no kids yet, I won't be in that situation. Maybe being 65 and having grandchildren is what I am going to be facing.

Very possible for me, I am 29, when I am 35 my oldest son will be almost 18...scary thought.
I would feel very very old! Now I know what I did to my parents..ha

cause that mean that i am Lucky to have family at this age.
and remember every one is going to be 35 one day , but only Lucky ones would be grandparent
