Actually, no. Whales are way too fatty, and wouldn't hold together very well in a patty. I dare say the same would be true of seals and most dolphins as well. Cheetahs are runners, and therefore would be really lean, tough and stringy -- you'd have a hard time making the burger come out anything other than dry and crumbly, unless you mixed in another source of fat (wrap the whole thing in bacon and broil it?) Being a bird, the bald eagle would also probably be pretty lean, but I suppose if you like turkey burgers, it would be okay. Turtles would taste funny as a burger, I think, but that's just my personal taste. The rest would be okay as a burger, but unless they were actually farm raised and you controlled their diet, they would probably all taste pretty gamey. If I had to pick, I'd probably go for a rhino from a zoo (born and raised) -- zero stress, carefully controlled diet and good clean water, regular veterinary care = tender, fairly fatty meat if harvested after a couple of years on the hoof. Mmmmm... rhino burgers *grin* I am, of course, just kidding -- I'm already partial to cow, though I just bought some yak and buffalo ground beef patties from an importer this last weekend, and can't wait to try them on the grill!
