Rubbing alcohol! Honest to goodness - it will do the trick! Even on cat urine which is the most difficult smell to get rid of! I've also used vinegar, but really don't like the smell of that! If it's in clothing, you can use bleach if it's whites or use the vinegar for colors in the wash.

The answers those people give makes me nauseous.
For cat urine and this works but you will never get 100% out but only the cats will verify that.
Sprinkle on baking soda until well covered let the moisture be absorbed and scrap off. Repeat as often as needed. They say to colour test first but if your looking for cheap do this. Rub in more baking soda and spray (putting full strength into spray bottle] with hydrogen peroxide. The bubbles will lift up dirt etc. Blot with clean rag or paper towel removing as much as possible. Let dry and repeat when needed. Vacuum when dry.
Home Hardware has a product called "Odor Out". I use it with temporary results.

Diluted vinegar usually gets the smell out of most things. The vinegar smell will not last long then you could always spray febreeze over it.

I'm only experienced with cat pee. Because none of my carpets are real wool I usually use a diluted solution of bleach and hot water and washing up detergent. Give it a really good scrub and then soak up excess with plenty of paper towels. Usually works.

dilute vanilla essence with water, andput it in a spray bottle, squirt plenty on the area that smells, and scrub with a damp cloth,it worked for a friend of mine, who had left a bottle of milk in his car boot, which leaked, and became sour(yuk) he used this and the smell went and didnt come back.(it doesnt mask the smell,it actually gets rid of it)good luck:-)

Probably depends on how much urine you aded in the first place but I would imagine the only aswer is a professional cleaning company.

This may sound weird but can you tell me how it happened? Its going to play on my mind.

VINEGAR, VINEGAR, VINEGAR. Water it down, 75% vinegar and 25% water. Make sure that you soak up the majority of the urine and then spray the vinegar mixture on it and let it sit. Works for me.
