My Itunes 7.0 isn't starting up. I need some suggestions on how to fix this problem.?

I recently downloaded iTunes 7.0 and when I click the desktop icon the little waiting symbol will pop up and then just stops, i tdoesn't do anything. I tried re-installing it and it still does not work. I even "Repaired" it, PLEASE HELP!

Try uninstalling iTunes, then reboot your computer.
Then, reinstall iTunes.

That may or may not work, but it's worth a shot.
