I've never used this phrase and I am a native English (American) speaker. I read the answers to your other question about what it is and had no idea about the first definition (although the fiber blends is what I thought of). Since you are learning English, are you sure you need to learn this? It is not a typical vocabulary word. However, are some examples, if you do:

1) My sweater is made from a cotton-wool blend.
2) Cotton-wool blend fabrics should not be placed in the dryer, since they will shrink.
3) My blanket is 65% cotton, 35% wool knit.
