Yes, to all questions. An IQ test is based on your reasoning and aptitude compared to others in your age range. And If you progressively become more "Intelligent" through your life you could end up with higher scores. As for the part about preparing for an IQ test. Yeah, so long as you know the questions before hand, you can study for it like any other test.

In theory IQ doesn't change, but in fact, it does. As a person becomes more educated, his or her IQ increases. The theory was that the IQ increased with age at about the same rate as a person's educational level increased, but that is no longer the case.
IQ was once regarded as the be all and end all of the evaluation of a person's intellect, but today it is used only as a very general index. There are far more precise tests.

I've neen told it stays about the same through your life. My iq in 9th grade is only 2 points from where it is now. Then it was adminstered be a Dr. the last score was from tickle.com. For the squigles wiggles questions type questions I just thought if a=b,
and b=c, then a=c. After going slightly loopy for a moment.:)
I am sure you'll do fine just get a good nights sleep and eat a good meal before you take the test. I'm not sure how much the last part helps but at least you'll get a good meal and a night's sleep. tehe

Probably the scores do flexuate throughout a lifetime.
You can prepare for one by reading up on math and verbal skills. Vacabulary for one. Word associations....the biggest thing to tell someone getting ready to take an IQ evaluation is read every question very carefully ....there are some freaking goofy questions on most of them.
IE: if all squiggles are wiggles and all wiggles are mandoodles then all mandoodles must be squiggles.

Yes it can change.

Mood has been known to effect score by as many as 10 points.

Amount of sleep can effect score, aswell. The same goes for what you have eaten.

And finally, training CAN help raise your IQ score.

It is well known that it is possible to artifically boost your IQ score as many as 25 points.

They say it can't change much, but some people's do. Mine fluctuates between 115-150s...and even higher on certain types of tests. I have a learning disorder and am a creative thinker though. Can't keep my mind on stuff unless I force it, so that's why, most likely. I bet there are more like me.
