In order to substitute in the state of Ohio (I live in Ohio), you simply need a bachelor's degree. Contact your local school districts to find out what other necessary things you need to do in order to apply for a subbing position. Each district will vary what you need to do in order to sub. Most school districts need substitutes! You should have no problem getting in:)

I teach in Ohio. If you have a bachelor's degree then contact a district that you are interested in subbing in. They can give you a brief training and help you to get a temporary certificate that is used for subbing. Most Ohio schools are short of subs daily.
Good luck with it.
