You want at least 1Gb. Especially if your camera has a higher megapixel count.

A MB is a megabyte or 1 million bytes; a GB is a gigabye or 1000 MBs... my camera has 1GB and will take several thousand pictures if it's at the email picture setting, less if larger. After you get the larger card, copy the photos from one event to disc files, then to CDs for backup, after which you can delete the photos from your camera and have lots of memory all over again.

available at the moment i think is 2gigabyte "gb" that will hold over a thousand photo's on say a 7 mp camera, if you see them as say 512 mb then it will hold about 200 to 300 on the same 7megapixel camera so GB cards are higher capacity than MB cards

Well a GB is bigger than a MB, so a card with GB will hold more picture than a MB.

Actually 1 Gigabyte is 1024 Megabytes.
A 1 Gigabyte memory module should hold around 300+ pictures in high resolution.
Uggg, I wouldn't want your job, but then somebody has to do it....

A Gb is 1000 Mb so the 1Gb is a lot bigger! so go with that, and they are cheep like under $75
