I have a lot of books and movies that i would like to sell, I am a seller on ebay, but i was wondering if it was against the law to sell stuff on a personal web site such as geocities or angelfire?

Or should I just put a link on my web site to my ebay listings?

and if I have to pay for a site what is the cheapest?

The best and most far-reaching web site for this sort of thing is craigslist. Check it out. and it's Free! The link will default to the Inland Empire (Southern California) since that's where I'm from. But as you'll see there are lists everywhere.
