My boss has asked me to come up with a point-based system. I need a few ideas to throw at him. Any suggestions?

Anything is better than nothing, but gift cards, money, paid time off from work, restaurant gift certificates are all good. NO parties or free rooms in the hotel. A party with fellow employees is not special at all....you see these people every frickin' day and the last thing they want is to be together again. Free nights at the hotel or in another in the chain is something that you really don't have to pay for, so they will not apprciate that.

Gift Cards! I think everyone loves to be able to get what they want. So many bosses think that it is nice to go eat out with your boss, Eek wrong again.... I was a boss, and knew my employees would rather take their spouse or kids then me.

Throw them a special party, or maybe gift certificates for a place they really like.

If it's a chain: then free (weekend) stay at any locations. But money comes to mind more then anyhtiung.
