PS has been tremendously beneficial to my family and myself to assist in mental clarity and plays a role in membrane integrity of the brain. Any advantage to adding small amounts to my infant's formula? Also the DHA and ARA found in formulas now that has been shown to improve eyesight and memory in infants fed breastmilk or fortified formulas (almost every brand has a variety). Would adding small amounts of purified fish oil with EPA/DHA and no extra Vitamin A/E benefit my infant also or could there be digestive issues? Thanks for your advise!

Check with the baby's doctor before you add or change your infant's diet. What is good for adults is not always good for infants and vice versa. Babies under the age of 2 are still developing their brains and have different needs.

Also, if you breastfeed your baby, your baby will get whatever supplements you are taking through your breast milk. The human body does a great job and makes the BEST formula for your baby!!!

Good luck and congratulations.

In spite of the popularity of commercially available "formulas", babies should only eat breast milk. That's what it's for, and it's the best thing for their health.
So, I hope you are breast-feeding the little guy.
I don't know how you can tell that PS has helped (I had never heard of it, but then, I'm not "up" on all the latest nutritional stuff).
As long as you steer clear of doctors' advice, your baby should be quite healthy. Most medical doctors don't know anything about nutrition--they're drug pushers.

If you're so concerned about your baby's nutrition, why would you be feeding formula in the first place? Breastmilk already has all the benefits you're describing.

Yes, fish oil could cause allergic reactions.

DO NOT PUT WEIRD STUFF IN THE BABY'S FOOD!!!!!!!!

INFANT FORMULA IS ALREADY FORMULATED FOR OPTIMUM HEALTH AN DBRAIN DEVELOPMENT. ITS A BABY, IT DOESN'T NEED "MENTAL CLARITY" WHATEVER THAT IS.
