Nuke Tehran today and the war will be over tomorrow. The Pope should not only not apologize but he should re-iterate just how evil and inhuman Islam is.

No he shouldn't, His remarks were not foolish, the only foolish thing he did in this whole saga is apologise!!!
It's about time Muslims & Islamics heard some form of truth!!
I don't agree with destroying all of Islam, Yet i do agree on destroying the radicals, frigging sick bastards

Resign? For what? He apologized only to forestall a conflict, but that's a-coming.
Islam is not a peaceful religion, as some would say. It is a false religion, to be sure.
It's time for the Final Crusade!

these days you perhaps you have heard the demise of the famous correspondent and humanity activist "oriana fallaci",her opinions about muslims and islam was the outcome of all her career experience about this sinister religion!belive it or not I used to be a muslim sometime ago(and I'm living in Iran-my lovely country) but after 3 years of study about it and all the religions I found them some regressive stupid old surmons and honorably quited islam for remaining human!
all the religions are the same and islam is the worst of them and is showered with violence and anti-humane facts!
to know more about these facts compare these sites www.yanabi.com(islamic) and www.faithfreedom.org(anti-islamic) to understand what the fact is!!
kick the muslims who get offended right and left out of your countries!

No he shouldn't resign. How come all religions except Islam can deal with criticism. Can you image how much violence there would be in the world if it broke out everytime Christianity was criticized?

As I understand this 'fuss' the Pope did not make the statement, he read from a centuries old script. Is a religion so fragile that it cannot be debated?

No, what the Pope said is a direct quote and so is the truth.
Besides, most people already know that the statement is correct, whether we admit it or not.
