I'd choose Ross for a boy and Maria for a girl. I'd avoid names on the current top 10 lists like Lewis and Ellie cos there will be hundreds of them running around in a few years time. And avoid very unusual names unless the child will be growing up on a very rough housing estate, then the more unusual the better they will fit in.
