I'm an adult and I've celebrated Halloween every year since I can remember. Holidays are for all ages to enjoy. When I would take my kids trick or treating I also got dressed in costume.
Have some fun, that's what the holidays are for!

I think it's perfectly all right for teens to trick-or-treat as well as children, if they are willing to be genuine about it (that is, dressing up and asking for candy politely, and not playing mean tricks like TPing someone's house). My friends and I trick-or-treated when we were 14.
After that, we would just have our own party. We'd get in costume and go to a friend's house and eat candy and watch scary movies and play games.
As twenty-something adults, we usually go to a party, stay home and give out candy, or go dancing (in costume) at a local bar or club.
Personally I think ALL holidays should be celebrated by everyone. Life is meant to be enjoyed! Even if the holiday isn't part of your religion or culture, get out there and celebrate it anyway - your love of life will make it yours. =)

I'm there with you, man! My friends and I, all through high school, had Halloween parties, where we all dressed up, hung out at somone's house, ate lots of candy, drank illegally (of course) and had a good time. Now that we're all older, we dress up and go out dancing. Some of the clubs around here have custome contests and stuff like that.
Also, a Wiccan I know from work has her whole coven over to her house, as October 31st is the Samhain in Wiccan religion.
Basically, it's a holiday. So, American society calls for you to party hard, have lots of fun, and celebrate to your hearts content. Mazel tov!

Why not have a costume party with friends the weekend before, or rent a few scary movies with a few friends, a big bowl of candies, and popcorn.
There should be some sort of Haunted House set up. A lot of firehouses around here sponsor some for fund-raising

Of course it is fine to celebrate holidays. How else can you bring out the inner child in yourself. Usually teens and adults have costume parties.

I actually had a group of college coeds show up once, maybe it was an initiation for a sorority. Seemed like they were having fun and weren't too embarassed to be trick or treating.
I don't know anyone who doesn't celebrate, at work we dress up and maybe go out to the bars or restaurants afterwards.

Have a party or celebrate at home with family. Do whatever you consider fun. Play games, drink, tell ghost stories, watch scary movies. Just because you're older doesn't mean Halloween still can'y be fun!
