Can a candidate for the presidency be a teacher of the voting population? Can he or she actually enlighten and change opinions on the way to office, or is it a matter of kissing up and telling the voters what they want to hear that is ALWAYS necessary?

It would be interesting to see someone try that approach. We don't really get to see or hear the real candidates anymore. We see and hear what staffs of 'handlers' think we want to see and hear.

1. Since when does a office-holder presume to "teach" the voters what they are supposed to think? (Oh, yes--Bill Clinton!! But he's an arrogant azzhole, so that that example doesn't count.) Isn't a office holder supposed to representation the beliefs of the voters? That's the way most democracies work--or are your teachers now into redefining these words as well in their efforts to turn you into a commie socialist?

2. "Tell the voters what THEY want to hear"??? What the screw-ball kind of idea do you actually have about our democratic process of government?

Frankly, you sound like the kind of kooks who helped get Hitler into power.

You should change channels the media has this game playing on multiple stations.
Come on people,,,,,,, it will be who ever the establishment wants it to be.
We have no choice,, your vote doesn't matter,, it's the RebliDemo government,, it's a soap opera that they want you to watch and choose a side,, just like a football game,, it's how they keep you happy,, it's your team today,, it's the other team tomorrow.
YOU think YOU matter? get real
And as in in loosing game it was the fault of the loosing quarterback,, right?
