Alot of people here start decorating for Halloween in the middle & end of September. Its not too early. Halloween is my favorite holiday & I am like you & can hardly wait either to decorate.

I am also dying to go down to the basement and bring up all my decorations. I have a big scarecrow and pumpkins and bats and a doormat that makes a scarey sound. My husband says it is too early and I should at least wait till October. He just built a tiki bar for the yard which was supposed to be done in June so he says lets enjoy what's left of summer. My cousin put her stuff up already. Maybe I will wait till September 30th as that would be one month till mischief night.

It's not decorating now for Halloween that I object to - it's the person in street who puts up decorations for Halloween & takes them down after Valentines day. They just change them a little bit for the next holiday.

I have alot of decorations to put up, plus I host a huge halloween party every year, so I start decorating in the middle of September. It's alot of work and I want to enjoy it longer than a couple weeks.

I feel the same way but it is too early. Wait until October 1st and start slowly and add on everyday! You dont want to have to look at all your decor for a full 31 days.

I start decorating for Halloween on Oct 1. That way my house will transform over the month. The neighbors really seem to like it.

I usually start with some leave and pumpkin decoration in September...sort of ease into it so I don't get bored with it. I would wait until at least October 1st for all the Halloween skeletons and stuff..bring in autumn and work your way up to ghosts and gobblins!! Have fun =)

Dear Anxious,
As someone who is pretty savy when it comes to the design department, I would suggest waiting until the 1st of October, at least. Not only do you want to avoid looking silly decorating too early - but you also want to avoid "playing out" the holiday. If you put up decorations NOW, you'll be sick of them by Haloween. Just a suggestion. =0)
