I lived the first 23 years of my life without cell phones. Today, I still hate them. People at restaraunts, movies, driving, grocery stores always talking on their cell phones. They have made the world too small a place. You no longer have the option to just not be home. I would take the $10,000 with a smile, although I would probably have to go out and buy a cell phone so I would have one to not use first.

It would not be difficult for me to go without a cell phone for a month. It would be difficult for me to believe that anyone with ten thousand dollars had nothing better to do with it.

If I believed they really had the money, then absolutely. A cell phone is a nice convenience, for sure, but it is not a necessity for life. Ten thousand dollars, however, could pay my rent for almost a year.

No. My cell phone is mostly for emergency situations. I think an emergency is very difficult to schedule. I think the money would be great, but I wouldn't put myself or someone else in harm's way for money. I would definitely try my best to stay away from this kind of bribe.

Sure, but could I use my husbands? Or maybe I'd do something wild like the Twilight Zone episode where the person was bet they couldn't go a year without talking. In order to succeed he had his vocal cords cut... Really though, I don't use it that much... we have 3 phone lines on 500 minutes.

Oh yes. for 10 thousand, I would throw my phone in the garbage and go for 6 months without it. LOL

Absolutely!

I do admit they are convenient & good for safety reasons, but I also think people depend on them too much.

I also can't stand when people talk on their cell phones in a social situation. That's rude.

Also, I believe that, as a society, we over-communicate.
