To kill germs, hot water is the way to go. If you are getting blood or other tough stains out (i.e. during your period), cold water should do the trick.

Cold water does not kill germs unless a disinfectant is added.Warm water kills some germs,not all.Hot water kills all germ.

I think so....I wash EVERYTHING in cold water.

most germs are killed by boiling point temperature but the trouble is there are some heat-resistant germs. Are you a newlywed?
