The ants won't even bother the armadillo. If it bothers you wash them off. Armadillos are used to being around insects, they dig in the dirt all the time, or they should be doing that, it is natural behaviour for them.

Why would you want a pet armadillo? Why would it be your fault. Just wash him off and kill the ants.

Armadillos are insectivores. If you really are keeping a captive armadillo and you didn't know that, it's probably on the brink of death anyway ... I'm not sure that I believe you have an animal with razor-sharp claws digging holes in your living room floor, but if you do, you should let it leave now.

First of all, why do you have a pet armadillo?
Second, why would it be your fault?
Third, take him to the vet to make sure. You certainly wouldn't want him to be eaten alive by ants.

Did he say that it was your fault? Are you worried that everyone is always blaming you? Try hosing him down to get the ants off and see if they stay off. Maybe he just rolled around in them and cleaning is all he needs.

Wash the ants off of him.
Maybe he got into something sweet.
