How do I get a package if I forgot to put my Apartment Number on the address?

I just moved into an apartment and I always forget to put my apartment number in my address. I am expecting a package to come by the endo of the month and is trying to figure out how i will be able to inform the postal service. Help Please. Thanks

You should be fine. I live in an apt too, and rarely use the apt number when I give out my address. Here in Michigan, we're required to have our last names on the post box in order to get mail delivered (not sure why...). The postman will still deliver to your apt as long as you have your name on the box so he can be sure its supposed to go to you. If its being delivered thru someone like FedEx or UPS instead of the USPS, I think you might be out of luck. It will probably get sent back to the sender with a note saying 'insufficient address' or something like that.

The postman will deliver it to the Apt. Mgr most likely, unless by then, He/She recognizes your name from delivering your mail.

Worst scenario would be that the pkg is returned to sender and they will have to "reship" with your apt# added.
