1.2.5=25/10 reciprocal=10/25=>2/5

2.they are reciprocals 3/4 and 4/3

3.what is the question?

1- multiply and divide 2.5 with 10 (the original value remains unaltered)

you have: 25/10
simplify it to get in fractional form and find the reciprocal

2- 3/4 and 4/3 ARE reciprocal of each other

3- you question is incomplete and quite confusing.. check if thats exactly what u wanted to ask.. there maybe odd or even POWER involved... remember that for ODD power the output (if the input was negative) comes as negative but does effect the sign of positive input.. for EVEN power the output is always positive no matter what

(-1)^3 = (-1)(-1)(-1) = (-1 x -1) (-1) = (+1) (-1) = -1
(-1)^2 = (-1) (-1) = (-1x-1) = 1

2.5 = 2 + 5/10 = 20/10 + 5/10 = 25/10 = 5/2 which has reciprocal 2/5

2. I think they are reciprocals. To me reciprocal menas the inverse or the number you multiple by to get 1

1)
rule 1: convert decimal into fraction

rule 2: invert it and simplify

so, 2.5 = 5/2 and its reciprocal = 2/5

2)
who said 3/4 & 4/3 are not reciprocals? They ARE

3)

y = x if x is odd, -1 if x is even.... i dont know if that makes sense....!!!

write your questions carefully if you want proper answers from people... your carelessness costs people precious time...ok?!

2.5 = (25/10) = (5/2)

Reciprocal of this would be (-2/5)

ANS : -.4

-------------------------------------------------

Reciprocals follow this rule

(a/b) * (c/d) = -1

so (3/4)'s reciprocal is (-4/3)
