Recently the pope had dilevered a speach where he quoted words from a Byzantine emperor. Many TV news networks, and news website had mentioned it and mentioned that he had anger Muslims all over the world. But I didn't find a copy of his speach. I want to know what did he say, and what was the point he was trying to make

Here is the relevant part... note the second paragraph particularly...

"I was reminded of all this recently, when I read... of part of the dialogue carried on - perhaps in 1391 in the winter barracks near Ankara - by the erudite Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Paleologus and an educated Persian on the subject of Christianity and Islam, and the truth of both.

"In the seventh conversation...the emperor touches on the theme of the holy war. Without descending to details, such as the difference in treatment accorded to those who have the "Book" and the "infidels", he addresses his interlocutor with a startling brusqueness on the central question about the relationship between religion and violence in general, saying: "Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."

"The emperor, after having expressed himself so forcefully, goes on to explain in detail the reasons why spreading the faith through violence is something unreasonable. Violence is incompatible with the nature of God and the nature of the soul. "God," he says, "is not pleased by blood - and not acting reasonably is contrary to God's nature. Faith is born of the soul, not the body. Whoever would lead someone to faith needs the ability to speak well and to reason properly, without violence and threats."

I put a link below to the complete text of the entire speech, if you like.

I don't understand why the muslims are upset by the popes remarks - the pope is speaking the truth.

Muslims have always forced people to convert to Islam, there were millions of Sikhs and Hindus murdered in India around 14 - 16th Century, because they didn't convert to Islam. They rather died for their religion.

Muslims tortured the Indians in evil ways, they scalped them, put them on hot stoves, chopped their heads off, sliced them in half, killed young children and women.

Muslims are and always have been evil, the world would be a much better place without muslims. There'd be less violence and killings, and everyone would feel safer and peaceful.

Muslims and Islam are the root of all evil. Its the Truth!

There are some Muslims that are good, but a lot of them are not.
