People change consistantly, and thier social needs change as well. I think this is one of the reasons this happens,,, have you ever read the poem below.. Tihs is what consoles me when a close person leaves my life.
People always come into your life for a reason, a season and a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, or to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or even spiritually. They may seem like a godsend to you, and they are. They are there for a reason, you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die, Sometimes they just walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilleed; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.
When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season. And like Spring turns to Summer and Summer to Fall, the season eventually ends.
LIFETIME, relationships teach you a lifetime of lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway);, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas in your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant. Thank you for being part of my life.....

People change. Lots of things can happen in a person's life to make them lose touch with friends of their past. They could move to a different city, state or country. Children could come along and change a person. A new job, a spouse, new friends....

New locations, new people in our lives and new interests are some of the reasons that people drift away from the people they were once close to.

People just get busy and lazy. Have you ever had this happen? You have a friend that never just calls you or invites you to do anything but they always seem happy to hear from you when you call. So then you start thinking, "Hmm. I wonder if I didn't call how long it would take them to call me?" So you try that and find out they never call. =( It's very sad.

No time or never wanting to find the time. Then there is all that catching up to do which in a lot of cases is boring. We grow out of people just as we grow out of clothes.

good question!! either of the two people are too loyal or cocky to speak to eachother, they always think that they come first. Dont be with people like that. If they have your number or whatever, and they enjoy your company-they will call you. Dont play any games, its as simple as it.

Sometimes people change things in their life, and to make it better for both parties, they just stop calling. This is easier than calling someone to talk to them and tell them why you don't want them in your life anymore! for whatever reason.
