No.
Now nobody can blame the "different" person on their team, can't play the race card. I think it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

This is a no win situation for anyone involved. If one group fails outright, it will be blamed on race, they were treated unfair, their base campsite was farther from drinking water then the other campsites, they were disadvantaged because they had more girls then men(for physical chanllanges) or they were disadvantaged because they had more men then women,( on the agility or flexability challanges) there will be some reason other than they just didn't measure up or another team was stronger in that challange( be it physical, mental, etc.) as the reason that they failed.
The race factor will come in to play ( it did in the first episode of the season-one team member of one of the teams made the comment that the, "members of his race, did not like to be told what to do." ) That was a racist statement, even if it was made by a member of that race. It was a generalization, that isn't true for everyone of that race, I'm sure that it fits some of that race but not all. So any statement made would be true and false about every race.

I read about this on the internet and heard about it on the news but I haven't actually watched the show. But from what I read and heard, I don't think it's racist. I think the producers and writers just wanted to do something different for ratings, and from what I'm hearing about Survivor the show, the ratings are going through the roof!

No, not at all in my opinion and those who think so ought to consider the good that could come from this "social experiment"....It's a chance for the different races to shatter some stereotypes others have of them.....show us what they are like, what they can do and what they don't do...I think it's pretty interesting this year...good groups of people. And they will merge eventually like someone else said so it's not going to be a completely segregated game....they just need something to spice up an already long-running series, something new, something a tad daring.

Yes, this time it is.
Sure the tribes will merge and it will all even out, but the races with the greatest numbers will pick off the lower numbered races when merges happen. It will not be for racial prejudice reasons but because of tribal loyalty.
Another consideratio, when the 20 were picked for the show, what if you were the 6th person of a particular race that was being considered for the show. You would not be chosen because of your race -- "We already have 5 white people."

No, they just want to ensure they'll have a large turn out of viewers for this season since their last season didn't garner a lot of ratings.
They're just playing the race card for the time being until the merge the groups together at the end of the season.

Yes, the black people lost badly, while the Asians excelled at everything. You can't write this stuff, but in the guise of "reality" it's open season. Also, on the new Amazing Race last night the Muslims were arbitrarily expelled. It was a poignant moment for fearful crackers everywhere.

No! Reality shows divide people by age, gender, personalities, why not race? The people that are angry about it don't even seem to be educated how the show works. Eventually these teams that are now segregated will be merged during the show.

I don't believe so. While I'm glad that there is a more ethnic presentation this season, let's face it; many of do not really socialize outside of our race. I think this season shatters the myth that no one but Caucasians actually applies for these contests.

I don't believe it's a racist show but what they're doing this season most certainly isn't going to help already troubled race relations gain any ground. I think it's a travesty that CBS allowed this to be broadcast.......only my opinion
