My girlfriend and I have been together for 6 months. We did not want to start having sex until she got on BC. She has been on yaz for about a month and a week when we had sex - the condom broke. Now, I have heard people say that BC kicks in right away and some say that it takes about a month.

I know she takes the people like required cause I keep her on the ball plus she is pretty good about it on her own. She has two regular pills left of this pack (second pack) until she starts her sugar pills. She has been craving chocolate which is normal for her during her impending menstruation periods, but she has also been having headaches.

I read that headaches are sometimes an early sign of pregnancy. She has got them before when she was on BC last time and she has also not been eating right or sleeping enough lately due to school and work. She says that everything is fine and gets annoyed when I bring up the possibility that she could be pregnant. I want to believe her and relax, should I?

You need to have her pee on you computer mouse ... then ask the question again. How else can we tell?

Yes you can get pregnant on the pill. You can get pregnant using a condom even if it doesn't break. No birth control method is 100% foolproof, just remember that. She could be pregnant, but it is probably too early to tell. Everyone gets headaches, so that isn't going to tell you much. If she has the exact same syptoms she would during her period (swollen breasts, cramping, tired, etc) and her period does not come she is most likely pregnant. You won't know until she is at least 5 weeks pregnant, because that's when a pregnany test can confirm whether she is or not. By this time she should be 1 week late.
I wouldn't relax too much, but I wouldn't freak out either. She may not be pregnant, but just realize anytime you have sex irregardless of being on birth control you take a risk of getting someone pregnant. Most likely if she is pregnant she will have a gut feeling, whether she admits it or not, that she is pregnant. You just know.

YOU ARE MAKING TOO MUCH OUT OF THIS! RELAX, RELATE, AND RELEASE! THE HEADACHES MAY BE COMING FROM THE FACT OF NOT KNOWING. SOMETIMES WHEN THINGS ARE ON YOUR MIND HEADACHES SOMETIMES COME ON. GIVE IT SOME TIME THEN TAKE A PREGNANCY TEST. ALL YOU CAN DO IS WAIT! I HAVE HEARD THAT THE PILLS DOES TAKE A MONTH TO GET INTO YOUR SYSTEM, AND IF ALL FAILS TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR. THAT PERSON IS MORE QUALIFIED TO ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE SEX DOES NOT ALWAYS RESULT IN PREGNANCY! NEXT TIME TELL HER DON'T MAKE YOU WAIT SO LONG THEN THE CONDOM WON'T BREAK. IT BROKE FROM ALL THE BUILT UP SEXUAL TENSION THAT YOU HAD FOR HER. GOOD LUCK I AM SURE THAT EVERYTHING WILL WORK OUT FINE. REMEMBER RELAX, RELATE , AND RELEASE.

The only thing I can think of is that you buy your girlfriend a pregnancy test and insist she takes it, and if that comes up positive take her to your local GP or the hospital seen as though you need medical assistance straight away. They will also help you and your girlfriend decide whether you want to keep the baby or give it up, depending on the age of your girlfriend.
I know your girlfriend gets mad at you when you bring the topic up but its better safe than sorry.
Also, well done on thinking about BC and waiting until the time is right, most men wouldnt do that.

Her headaches could also be caused from the pills. BC pills are 99% effective. There is always that chance even if she was taking it for 6 months( but usually unlikely. )Relax your gonna stress your self into a headache. Just remember children are a gift from God and he he feels its the right time its the right time.

The pill is really sure fire especially if this ist he second pack that she is on. However, if she is not taking them regularly or some days not at all and trying to make up etc. there could be a possibility.

Anything is possible though, I got pregnant while on BCP's that I had been taking for well over a year.

i think you should take a deep breathe and relax!

Ovulation for her has more than likely come and gone, since she is on her last two pills.

A woman doesn't have to be pregnant to have a headache. Of course, if her headache presist, she may want to see a doctor, because the hormones from the pills may be causing a rise in her blood pressure. Most fire stations will take your blood pressure for free, if you just walk in and ask. This may be a good idea for her.

Anyway,

Good Luck and Take Care

All woman crave chocolate before their periods, and get bad headaches. Headaches are a symptom of taking birth control.
I wouldn't worry about anything. She's probably not pregnant if she's on the pill.

If she has just started birth control, it should take one month to start working. If she has been on it, and you guys are using condoms, I wouldnt worry too much. However, there is always that small chance. Unfortunately, headaches are a side effect of the pill.

I say you should just relax. The headaches are a side effect of the pill, and also probably due to all the stress she's having right now due to school and work. I don't think she is, so just chill.

The BC could be causing her to have headaches---mine do...Usually a woman knows pretty early if she is pregnant...Have her go to a free clinic and do a pregnancy test.....look under birth rights or pregnancy in the yellow pages of the phone book.....they are usually the free ones.....
