what are chemicals around the house that would change fire in a pit outside different colors?ex.green,blue,etc.

That sounds dangerous, but a special effects website should be able to sell you some chemicals that have been approved for outdoor use. Don't forget to clear all brush around the pit and have a fire extinguisher handy.
