No. You should never blindly accept authority. You need to use your own judgment and weigh the reality of his actions against what he is telling you. All politicians at the federal level believe in plutarchy, which is not the system our founding fathers envisioned. We shouldn't believe a darn one of them, Republican nor Democrat.

Much of what he says is true; like he feel it important Congress clarify the Geneva treaty. You have to listen, then process what you hear because the lies are not out and out lies, but lies by omission, or misrepresentation. Mr Bush is a master politician and gifted in misleading you; Like he never said that.....With Election year here we are going to be bombarded with half truths, misrepresentations, and its an opportunity to Practice our listening skills, just listen carefully

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It's best to get a variety of sources to determine the accuracy of the statements made by elected officials. History will reveal the truth, usually after it is too late!

Anyone who has been elected to any office is a suspect source of information. They paint rosy, as opposed to realistic, portraits of their accomplishments and are not above manipulating the masses if it serves them in the long run.I'm sure you've heard the old joke.
Q: "How can you tell a politician is lying?"
A: "You can see his lips moving!"
As unfortunate as that is, that is the reality of the situation.

Bush is a stand-up guy. You can believe him.
Clinton never told the truth. He was a pathological liar. But... it was fun listening to his bull. He was a fun president.
