Don't know. Isn't it ironic how the reaction to the Popes statement reinforced the words he spoke? The funny thing about Islam is that its adherents(generally) never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

i think of the pope’s remark to ISLAM is amazingly hypocritical. How can he state that the Muslim faith is violent? Did he forget approximately regarding the Catholic inquisition? the place tens of tens of millions of human beings the place killed interior the call of religion? It would not make it much less violent because of the fact it passed off years in the past. The Catholic Church has an fairly bloody previous. perhaps you ought to appear on the historic previous of it earlier leaping to conclusions. i'm no longer Islam, or catholic. On a facet word: Islam itself isn't forging a jihad over Catholics, in simple terms communities. you are able to no longer condemn a faith over the strikes of a few stray sheep. in case you are trying this, then you extremely are breaking one among Christianities valued recommendations, that's do no longer decide thy neighbor. below is a sprint historic previous of the human beings murdered below the inquisition: "between the innumerable victims of the Inquisition have been such in demand human beings because of the fact the logician Giordano Bruno, Galileo, Joan of Arc, and the non secular order of knights referred to as the Templar’s. The business enterprise and its excesses have been a humiliation to many cutting-part Christians. In anti-Catholic and antireligious polemics because of the fact the Enlightenment (for occasion, Voltaire's Candide), the Inquisition has been referred to as a first-rate occasion of what's considered the barbarism of the middle a while. In its day there grew to become into some familiar sympathy for the Inquisition. some observed it as a political and economic gadget, others, as a mandatory protection for non secular perception. in spite of if, in spite of all efforts at understand-how the business enterprise interior the sunshine of social, political, non secular, and ideological components, today the Inquisition is often admitted to belong to the darker facet of Christian historic previous."

Probably not. But I think the bigger question is whya re Muslims so insecure about their religion that they want to murder anyone who criticizes it or draws cartoons about their prophets? I believe eventually most people will become very tired of this and develop a strong dislike (if not hate) for Muslims.

It wouldn't hurt the Catholic church unless they (muslims) were the biggest doners and those who support them were major doners too,all of which I doubt!!!!!
