I hate to say it, but I agree with your parents. A 14 year old doesn't need a freaking cell phone. My sister in law just got one for my 10 year old niece. Thats whats wrong with kids today. They have the "I wants" and parents keep giving in. You go to school and come home, what the heck do you need a cell phone for? My daughter who just turned 17 just got her a cell phone and the only reason I got her one is because she drives and I don't want her to break down and not be able to get in touch with help. But when she gets home, the cell phone is put away. There's a house phone I pay for, she might as well use that. You say you need one badly, why because EVERYONE has one. Get a grip girly and stop giving your parents a hard time. Not to mention their not cheap.

Sorry I agree with your parents. Kids do not need a cell phone or a pager. The only reason I see for a 14 year old to have a phone is for the parents to be able to get ahold of you. Not so that you can spend all day yacking with friends.

Need a cell phone? No... you want one because others have one. It probably is unfair. Have you told your parents any _real_ reasons why a cell phone is a good thing for you? Have you given them any commitment on how much or how little you will use it? It would cost them hundreds of dollars (phone and monthly fees). Do you want it that badly?

First of all, go to school and work on your grammer!!!! You don't need one, you want one....and at 14, you do not need a cell phone... the only reason why you would need this is for your parents to get a hold of you. Not for you to call whoever you damn well please and run up their bill....If you think you are responsible, show your parents you are by earning the cell phone, a prepaid one at that, pay for it yourself since YOU want one....If you do not like the rules, turn on the t.v. and look at people less fourtanate than you.

Actually, what you are in REAL need of is spelling and grammar lessons.
So, get your English skills up to at least a 6th grade level, and maybe your parents will be less "unfair".
Oh and by the way, I'm 42 years old and I've never had a cell phone. And I never will either.

Here's what you need to do. First, find a medium sized chair and sit in it. Next, turn over on your stomach. Lastly, take your right hand and swat your butt hard over and over until you can't stand it anymore. You are completely spoiled and probably don't deserve the things you already have. Since when is it your right to have something you want when you aren't even paying for it? When you go out and get your own job you can buy whatever you want, of course don't forget the rent check, or you'll be sleeping in the street.

If you can buy the phone and pay the monthly bill, I would say you could have one. If not, I would suggest using smoke signals. Your parents are just as concerned as most that if they get you this cell phone, you will cost them alot of money. Would you rather save that money for a car when your 16? I would have.

Funny how that word need gets used rather than want.
Haven't a clue what this thing cost but someone (and I'll bet it isn't you) has to pay for the item.

Unfair, unfair to whom, you or the person that has to go to work and earn the money to pay for it.

I suggest you try to work out some arrangement where you can earn some or all of the money required. That's assuming that the problem is money.

People who can't spell should not own cell phones. Get a job and work for it like every other person in the world!

first u dont need it ! you want it! theres a difference.
if u want one so bad why not tell your parents u will work for it. save up the money paid to u from your chores and buy one. u do know u will have to pay a phone bill for your calls??? or do u want mommy and daddy to pay for that too? kids these days sheesshhh!

its cheaper to take a quarter with u and make a call when your out!
