Well I am 17 weeks right now with baby number # 4 , this is my first boy. I thought that it was a boy from day one based on the diffrence between my other pregnacies, sore breast that do not get better, my stomache popped out so soon usally I did not show til 6-7 months. Also I want salty stuff all the time. Also did the chineese gender test it was boy. But to confirm it all I paid for a 3-d ultra sound in my 15th week and it was finalized.

Do a search for old wives tales for baby gender. There are hundreds.
Check a chineese calendar. You'll need to check your age along with the month of conception.
It's only 50% but oh well. It's fun.

Two pregnant women were talking in a doctors waiting room when the talk turned to their babies gender. The redhead said she was having a boy because when she conceived her husband was on top, the brunette agreed with this and said that she was having a girl as she was on top when she conceived, where upon a blonde who had been listening in burst out crying and said "Oh my god, I'm gonna have puppies!"

there are lots out there... here are some that I have heard.
Carry like a basketball, a girl... carry like a football its a boy
Have asthma, symptoms of asthma sometimes get worse if your carrying a girl. Something to do with the hormones from a female.
Have acne that you didn't have or is worse than before, its a girl
Crave sweets, its a girl
I have a 5 month old girl, I carried like a basketball, craved sweets, acne was horrid and way way out of control, I have asthma but that didn't seem to be much worse than before the pregnancy. When I had my son, I carried him like a football, and didn't have near the belly I had with my baby girl.

I've got a good guess. It's a Girl. As for tell tale signs. I've always heard that a faster heart rate is a girl. With mine I just felt like my boy was going to be a boy, and he was. Same way with my girl. Good luck with whatever it is :)

Fo me personally I knew I was having a girl with my 3rd after having 2 boys because I suffered from chronic morning sickness for the first 12 weeks, which I never had at all with the boys.

One that was true to me was that if you are carrying a boy you Will not suffer with morning sickness. I had none, but on the other hand, my friend who was pregnant the same time as me suffered with morning sickness so bad that she was signed off work for 2 months, and she had a boy.

There really isn't a for sure way that'a why doctors don't believe in any of the old wives tales however I did notice I gained more weight in my hips and butt with my girls than I did with my boy.
