NOPE! My sister and I used to make them go down the stairs twice, then the metal would get a kink in it and it would'nt work anymore! So then we'd have fun bending the metal all crooked so it stretched really long. For the plastic one, we didn't really do anything, cause it never broke so we had to use it normally. BORING!

Okay, so I'm easily amused. I used to be able to watch the slinky go down the stairs for hours. Slinky races (if you had a couple of them). See how far past the stairs it could go. See how tall of a step it could handle.
Now, if my parents hadn't been so cheap and had actually gotten me the ************** puppy I wanted, maybe I would have more useful knowledge than all that slinky know-how.

When my son was about two he used to get a kick out of it. Now, he's 5 & it has definitely lost its thrill for him.
When I was a kid, I don't remember having fun when I played with a slinky.
