IF you start with an electric guitar, you'll have a better concept of chord structure and how they are used to write songs. After that Bass(spell it right) will be easy for you to pick up.

ZZ Top made guitar playing look so cool.

Look, I know you may not like it, but the acoustic guitar is the best option for starters. Try something like the Gibson Spirit Acoustic Guitar and take a few lessons. Then you can move on to a Fender. For $129 starter Gibson guitar, you will not be out too much.

Acoustic guitar is more easy than electric and base guitat,
How old are you? If you are younger,Firstly you can start with Acoustic guitar after than electric and base guitar. If I were you I should learn all guitar styles but If you don't have anough time to learn every guitar style you can start with your love guitar style. If you want to continue step by step you shoul start with Acoustic.
Good Luck

Well, Bass guitar is different than Electric and acoustic. So you should decide if you wanna go bass or electric. If you like melodies better go electric. If slapping out grooves and being a more supporting role in a musical relationship appeals to you, go bass. Another thing to consider if you want to play with other people is that there are way more guitar players than bass players..

Then do the electric guitar. Women tend to have better finger control so they start off better on the guitar.

Bass (not Base) is larger and requires more finger strength to hold down strings and pluck (or pick if you are not a purist). But true Bass Players (not simply downgraded guitar players) are more in demand for bands.

I believe the best guitar to first experiment with would be an acoustic one.It makes your sense of rhythm more acute.

Electric guitar is more forgiving and easier to play. It's just alot louder. Get a decent one from a pawnshop instead of some china cheapo. It will sound better and be easier to play

I think electric. That's what I started out with. Because with Acustic, you can hear every little sound, and if you mess up on it, then it is quite noticeable. I prefer acuostic because it sounds pettier, but electric is the best to start with.
