Do you agree that Maury exploits black people?

The show is nothing but paternity hunts! It perpetuates the stereotype that we are ignorant and promiscuous.

I think that the show exploits *all* people -- the guests and viewers alike.

One has to wonder why *anyone* agrees to go on the show (or Springer, etc.) at all. No one comes out looking better for it.

Maury is an equal opportunity exploiter. The main thing his "guests" have in common is that they are all stupid. They have all messed up their lives in some way, and for some reason think that going on the Maury show is going to help them. He should be ashamed of himself for taking advantage of these poor, ignorant people - black or white.

The people are exploiting themselves. They have to pick up the phone and call Maury to get on the show... Not the other way around.

Secondly, he doesn't discriminate. His guests are of all races and backgrounds.

P.S. I disagree with the person who says they've seen purple, blue and green people on Maury because those people don't exist (except in her own mind).

LETS face it, they do have some whites on there too but blacks do have a higher rate of promisouity and unwedded births.( well documented and prove so dont even give me a thumbs down )

My thing is, some of these woman are just complete whores.
Once I was curious and watched and this one woman had been on there 3 times and already had like 5 men tested and she was getting ready to have another 2 tested/ Fact is if you were sleeping with that many men during that period, YOU ARE TRASH

I beleive most of these people, the women and men included are lying to get a free trip to nyc

I think if someone talked to these women about committment at a young age ( white and black and hispanic ) then maybe this wouldnt be an issue OR if all the millions of women screaming at their tv's that the man is lying and he needs to pay up would turn off mauray his ratings would drop, end of show

AND why the hell do they run off stage in shock, just the fact they dont know who the father is proves they are sluts

I haven't noticed that African Americans are the only guests on the Maury Povich show. I've seen plenty of Caucasians and other minorities on the show. You are right that all he seems to do anymore is paternity tests. Ignorance has nothing to do with color.

Its not exploitation. he takes people who try to be on the show. Its not their race. White people take paternity tests too.

I would not equate any thing that I saw on Maury as the way normal people act...black, white, Asian ect.

It is sad that anyone would have to go on Maury to find out who the father of their child is. I have seen many people mostly black and white on that show for this very reason, anyone who considers these people "normal" needs help and I wouldn't worry about what they thought about me, my race, or the race of my neighbors.

I don't think that Maury is doing anything that his guest are not aware of. Their seems to be a lot of black women who don't know who their baby's daddy's are. I would think that their family's should try and make them realize how embarrassing it is to get on his show and act the way they do. The one black girl was on there over 8 times and still couldn't find her baby's daddy.
