For the moment there should be a halt on inward immigration except on humanitarian grounds. Our society is becoming increasingly agitated and could end up electing a truly evil regime in a repetition of rise to power of the Nazis in the midst of the perceived threat from the Jews. A halt to immigration for a a few generations will give the current 'new arrivals' time to integrate, absorb and be absorbed by British culture.

The government statistics website is an excellent source:

I probably live in one of the most ethnically mixed areas in the UK (The City of Cambridge). There are no problems here and that is probably down to two factors a) The University obviously has always had an intake of foreign students. b) The local economy (certainly in the council areas) depends largely on the young foreign language students who flood in annually and board with local host families during their stay.
This has over the years given the people and particularly the youth of the city personal experience of those from a different culture and an understanding that apart from the language there is little difference.
One of the biggest problems in the UK in general is that there is no integration and therefore can be no understanding.
Another is the fact that there is no requirement for immigrants to learn about our culture after all, it is one they are choosing to move into.
Finally local councils should stop putting out translations of everything they publish in every conceivable language. Why should immigrants attempt to learn English if everything is available in Urdu or whatever. A requirement to learn the language to an acceptable standard should be introduced and enforced.

I'm in gateshead / newcastle, the majority are Caucasian, large influx of Jews in the 30s and 40s into gateshead (they are still very insular and keep to their own community) influx of Pakistanis into the benwell area of newcastle from about the mid to late 60's (they for the most part aren't muslim and certainly the younger generation are as much Geordie as any of their Caucasian peers, indeed many have a broader accent than I do) it's only in the last 5 or so years we have started to have an increase in our African population and many are still fresh from Africa rather than 2nd or third generation coming from other parts of the UK up north, I won't comment on european immigrants we have some but not that many

In Glasgow the immigration crisis is starting to get more of a problem than the Catholic & Protestant issue.. Glasgow City Council are obsessed with bringing immigrants to the City - for purely selfish reasons.. so they can fill empty tower blocks you wouldnt ask your worst enemy to live in..and aquire inflated rent allowances from the Government.. So in a way I can feel sorry for them - but really they should not be in the country in the first place. Problems will occur..people will get wound up - we dont need the problems & riots the French had .

I live in Oxford and there is one road in particular that has about 5% of english living there! One of its nicknames is "food alley" cos its rammed with kebab shops, chinese takeaways, indian, etc. The outer villages though are completely different and are approx 1% ethnic. It pisses me off when they come here and get benefits and jobs when so much of england is still in poverty - why does an english homeless guy get no help, but an immigrant gets a house and a job with no questions asked????? I have family near London and (where the temple is) and they campaigned for the schools zebra crossing to be moved opposite the mosque and nearer their own school - they got it moved!!! Britain has lost total control as we are too polite to say no!

Immigration should be free for spouses and students. the rest have to prove their worth to see if they can make an economic contribution. Europe should get rid of it's welfare state. that's that is bringing down the rest of Europe - can't speak much for UK but that's the case in Holland.

Immigrants from poorer countries will always want to go soemwhere they can have a job and earn money to better themselves.. at least in general. there's always exceptions.

the best bet is to improve educational systems in your own countries so that in the end the smart ones will go back to their own countries to build up their own country.

or something like that.

Well, whites make me feel sometimes unwanted because of my skin color ,of course my family also. There were several occasions were they called the police on us for nothing, but because we are black,I have a car club and they all don't meet at my house,we meet at the park.A few of my friends come by with their cars ,and they figure we are drug dealers.I don't have time to deal with drugs, because that's not my style. My style is show car's and my family,I worked this hard and came to far for negative white people to take it away from me because of their beliefs. There is only one other black family on our street and they get treated almost the same and they are an older black couple.I didn't think this really exist as far as white stereotypes like that.If I've would of knowed bettering myself to a nice neighborhood would be this much problems ,I wouldn't of bought a house here.Might sound crazy, but the hood seems alot safer. And by the way the police stop coming because they got tried of the false calls, and they told if they get another call that I can report racism to those who called them all the time.

My area, is almost totally white, with a lot of europeans, particularly Polish. I work with a couple, and thry are very friendly, and hardworking.
I read something about 'them' taking 'our' jobs, and my only thought was 'why were these jobs empty to be filled?'
