Isn't it ironic about the Muslim reaction to the Pope?

Question

Is it just me or is it hilariously ironic how the Muslims are reacting to the Pope's faux pas? In his speech, the Pope implies that Islam is rooted in violence and hate and the Muslim world, as one would expect, gets deeply offended by this.

And how do they react? With physical violence, murder, intimidation, and hatred (even calling for the execution of the Pope).

LMAO!! Go figure...

P.S. How can the Muslims expect the world to buy into the idea that they are a peace-loving religion when all hell breaks loose the moment someone ruffles their feathers? I've always considered myself a liberal-minded person who embraces all walks of life, and I've stuck up for the Muslim religion plenty of times in recent years, but I am getting fed up with defending people who want to see my head on a platter.

I don't think that the Muslims who are into terrorism are really saying it's a peace loving religion....they are saying peace is achieved through conquest and conversion to Islam. They are looking for whatever reason to get their feathers ruffled so they can seek to gather more followers who are outraged.

But, just like in any religion, these are not the only adherents to Islam.

It's our dear Muslims here in the US who have fled such people that are the real peace lovers who view the religion as peace loving, and they live that faith here in America.

Don't judge them all.


I might add that pope Benedict is seeing his reign as a short one and may actually be seeking martyrdom to clear the way for the last pope and adhere to St. Malachy's prophecy conerning the popes.

Your sentiments are shared by many, including myself. I wonder if we aren't on the verge of disaster. People are starting to think less of the distinction between Muslims and Extremists and they are becoming one and the same. If anything happens to the Pope or Italy there will surely be hell to pay. Have you seen the preview for ''jesus camp''? Scary.

You are right...I've tried to ask questions on yahoo. I have a saying....'the truth always hurts' so if the Muslim world don't agree with their way of dealing with bombings,murder and other atrocities why don't they come out and say. I have had answers from Muslims who condem the violence but they are in the minority.

boyAaron,i know where you are coming from.but tell me this could the pope say anything close to what he said about Jews and get away with it?.in most of these democratic nations in Europe a statement like this about the Jews would get you jail time.if only we would learn to be respectful of other people's religion.the world would be a more peaceful place.before the pope takes on other religions he would be well adviced to deal with the thousands of child molesters in his church.

What i find ironic is the fact that pope Beenadick has the balls to make such a comment when the catholic religion is rooted in a mass murder ordered by his demonic "god", i.e. the "crusades".

I've been well aware catholics operate on a biased double-standard but this incident emphasizes just how phyucked-up they truly are.

These people just can't take criticism of any kind. I am no expert by far but I am being led to believe by this Muslim reaction that His Holiness was right ! How odd that a religion can be declared "of God" and yet its members be so misled by its main prophet to murder and world-wide terrorism. Its like calling a docter, doc. Docter means doc in short term however the docter wont feal affended because he is a docter. And if Muslims are terrorists and if the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) did actually say what the script states then why would they feal offended?

Have any of you been to a Muslim country? well i guess you havnt so how woul you know if Muslims are violant or not if you havnt actully seen it for your self. Ive been to pakistan and no one there (in my area that i stayed in) encouraged violance. Infact i was there when the London bombing happened and what a shop keeper said to me was "Shave your beared or they will call you a terorist and say you blew the busses up" and my neighbour said "Here we go again another reason for them to say Islam is bad and to steal the wealth of another Muslim country". Pakistan is peacefull but the unfair trade has really destroyed their economy leaving people in great poverty. The shop keeper also tolled me "If you give a person £10 in pakistani money which isnt much to you but to them they will get a gun and kill who ever you want to be killed" And so what do you think of the "Islamic terrorists" well i think they are arabs bribed with money to make video clips and blow them selves up because in Islam killing one person is like killing the whole of mankind also suicide isnt an option one will not go to heaven if they commit such act.

Islam doesnt spread violance but peace, if it spreads violance then why is it the worlds fastest growing religion? It has been predicted in another 50 years Islam will be the worlds largest religion... so if the Byzantine is true then why is it that i never heared or read anything about violance of any way aloud in Islam? I am a Muslim (age 17) and am in college studying R.E (Islamic studies) also been studying Islam before
and i have never come accros any Prophet or the Quran and Hadith in Islam advising the followers of Allah to commit violentic acts. There is approx 1.6 billion Muslims in the world and if Muslims are terrorists then why arnt 1.6 billion Muslims bombing the world right now?

It is good that the Pope has apologized and i also dont agree with those protesting by burning and destroying a Church. There is a small minority of Muslim that commit such acts but the media makes it out as if all the Muslims are like that.

The Mosques are very clean so i dont know what you talking about, Muslim brothers help to keep it clean (thats if it gets durty which is unlickely but sometimes there is dust and other material ) Muslims have been building buetiful Mosque's before Newton came out with the three laws of motion.

It's down right hypocritical. One of those peace loving radical muslims shot Pope JPII and christians never rioted, burned mosques or shot their women in the back.
