She's probably teething. Give her something cold to rub against her gums, like a teething toy that's been refrigerated; there are also gels you can rub onto her gums, too. 4 1/2 months is a little early for teething, but it's not unheard of.
It's also possible she has abdominal gas, but usually they'll cry if this is the case.
I hope this helps!

Here are my answers:
A) She could be getting bored of not being mobile...maybe she is ready to go get em and be crawling or rolling around.
B) She could be starting to get teeth and her gums could be getting sensitive to touch.
When my daughter was around 5 months old she was very whiny all the time it seemed like that was all she could do was whine. The only time she quit was when we were shopping or going and doing something. Then I finally figured out that she was getting bored of being in the same spot for a long period of time. Maybe take her out to the park and lay out a big blanket with some toys and see if that doesnt make a difference!

Hi there, as a teacher I've seen this more often than I'd like to...who knows what makes a child use thier baby voice...it's hard on everyone...but my suggestion is simple; first have a talk with her about how you've noticed her using her 'little girl' voice alot lately and how you simply don't like it...explain to her that when girls are little they use thier little girl words and voices and emotions...and sometimes it's hard for even the parents to understand all of those little girl words...explain to her that as you get older your words get bigger and your voice gets stronger and you talk like a big girl and it's sooo much easier for everyone to understand. Then (and this is the hard part) the next time she whines or cries etc. tell her that you can not understand her and won't be able to understand her until she uses her big girl words/voice. Encourage calming down, talking a deep breath, thinking about what she wants to say. Do this each and every time her little girl voice emerges...if you continue to do this (and at the end of each discussion praise her use of big girl voice....thank you so much for using your big girl voice it makes things so much easier or 'good job using your big girl voice' etc. ...if you continue to do this each and every time you'll at some point be able to just look at her and say 'is that your big girl voice' and she'll drop the little girl voice right away. It's worked for many of my students. Hope it helps!

could be teething, could be she is just wanting something you haven't figured out yet, is she too cold, or warm now that the weather is changing. Dont worry, just learn to tolerate it because little sweet girls all whine all the time. Just relax , stay calm and keep in mind she will soon be grown up.
try giving her tylenol to see if it helps, even if you can't see a tooth in her gums doesn't mean she isn't teething. If it helps you know that it is her teeth. Good luck

She probably has started the teething process. Try to see if cold chewing rings or cold wet face cloth to chew on give her any relief. Maybe even try some baby tylenol.

I would say its probably because she is teething. Give her things to chew on like a teething ring or one of those teething books. They also have orajel or even baby tylonel works good.
Good luck!

Babies and small children get frustrated very easily. They are starting to figure some things out by themselves and when they can not express these things to you, it usually causes them to cry. It should pass. Just have patience.

Because she's unhappy and that's how she communicates. Could she be teething or coming down with an illness? Growth spurt?

#1 teething? give her teething biscuit, teething ring, cool cloth to suck on, use oragel or best of all homeopathic teething drops called camilia.
#2 bored? amuse her. Look on Lalithas nursery rhymes, a website that is for young children, she will love it.
#3 is she hungry, tired, wet, needs a bath? wants a hug?
