It's good to be simple and your work environment may be casual, but if your job position entail that you manage others then you want to be viewed as a professional and taken seriously.
You should absolutely be comfortable in what you wear, but when your friends comment on your way of dress in a negative way and the word sloppy is used it's time for you to seriously look at how you dress.
You can still absolutely wear your jeans and t shirt to work, but consider dressing them up with a nice shirt or blazer.
Also the fit of your clothes may be one of the reason why they are calling your way of dress sloppy. Remember a great fit does not have to be expensive.
Hope this helps. Besides your friends as you call them should not comment if they cannot provide constructive criticism and help you find a solution.

Your grammar is sloppy, I can tell you that much.
If your job is in an office and other people around you are wearing casual clothing, then you're fine if you wear jeans and a t-shirt. My husband works in an office and he wears cargos and t-shirts, sometimes a button down t-shirt, but he doesn't have business cards. Just because you have a job or work in an office doesn't mean you're going to have business cards to give out.
If your friends are making fun of you for that, then maybe they feel challenged at you because you have a job, AND you're a house wife. Most people can't keep both of those two up. I'm a housewife without a job and I know that if I did work...this place would not look as clean as it does.

WHEN WORKING IN A OFFICE AS A MRG,U DO HAVE TO DRESS. BUT U CAN DO IT WITH TASTE AND NOT WEAR FANCY CLOTHES..U SAY U WEAR JEANS AND TEES.U COULD WEAR THE COTTON KNIT SHIRTS THAT ARE A LITTLE MORE FITTED WITH SOME TRIM AND A LITTLE JACKET TO DRESS IT UP WITH A PAIR OF DRESS JEANS OR COLORED JEANS OR CASUAL SLACKS,WITH A CUTE SWEATER...YOU ARE WHAT U WEAR AND PEOPLE WILL INTERPRET U THAT WAY.U CAN WEAR YOUR BUM AROUND CLOTHS AFTER WORK OR ON THE WEEKENDS. BUT DRESS IT UP AT WORK,AND WILL HELP U FEEL EVEN BETTER ABOUT YOURSELF...SOMETIMES U NEED A LITTLE BOOST IN YOUR WARDROBE

I think you should wear what makes you happy if you can. But sometimes at work and elsewhere, you will find you need to dress up to succeed. It sucks, but that is the game, so it's as well to realise that on occasions, you have to sacrifice you own personal preferences to get on.
If a business card, a suit and nice shoes helps your career, get them. If it's just some status symbol, be yourself.

Usually it's good to represent who you work for. If you dress sloppy, somebody looking from the outside will think that you really aren't good or don't really care about what you do. If you want people to think you are more about your business then you have to show them on the outside. Because that's what they see first and that leaves the first impression.

that is the way i am at work and there si nothing wrong with it, if anything you should feel proud for having a good job and you can go as comfortable as you want. As for your co-workers, theyu have no idea what they are talking about, because i know half the time they wish they had the courage to wake up in the morning and just not care what anyone else thinks and be comfortable, and it's not like they are your superiors anyways.. so F' them...LOL

Nothing wrong with that, I wish I could wear my jeans to work, I could live in my jeans. I do not like to dress either, as long as your clothes are clean. I have maybe 5 outfits that I wear to my job, I make sure everything is clean, I do not want to spend so much money on work clothes, they do not pay me enough to get a new wardrobe.

you not sloppy! you are what u feel from inside...u feel casual about urself and nothings wrong wid that...just make sure that the colours u are wearing suite your skin colour and that the clothes fit you well..yeah but sometimes when u have to be around wid important people it would be nice if u took a little extra effort to dress up as it just shows that their company does mean alot to you.

Well if you're a professional u shld dress like one, no doubt u want to be comfy and casual, but still...
People like to judge others.. You don't necessarily have to change to suit them, but if you wanna shut them up.. then do it!
