Because Bush’s policies only seem to benefit the top 20 percent of American families, leaving the rest of America worse off. Wages are stagnating, health care costs are up, gas prices are at record levels, America's families are finding it harder to make ends meet and only 37 percent of Americans approve of your handling of the economy, according to the latest AP poll.
Household Income Declined by Nearly $1,700 Under Bush. For the second consecutive year, median household income declined: income dropped last year by $93-down to $44,389. In real terms, median household income has declined by $1,669 since 2000. [U.S. Census Bureau, 8/30/05]
Families are Paying Much More For Health Care and Education. For the past five years, health care costs have increased by nearly more than 70 percent, burdening hard-working families with added costs not covered by increases in their paychecks and driving up the number of uninsured to a staggering 45 million. Under President Bush, college tuition has gone up about 40 percent, even taking inflation into account
The budget deficit is hovering around $300 billion per year. He must enjoy borrowing money from our unborn generations and flushing it down the toilet in Iraq. And making the poor suffer.

Why as a social worker you would work with the "rich"? So how would you know of this greater disparity! I myself was not born wealthy or even middle class but currently am making something of myself. Mainly because I look to myself when things go wrong and I change what I make mistakes on not just blame someone else. I am only 26 years old and know this! You can take this from a informed conservitive!

Because you are an informed liberal rather than an educated one. Obviously, someone told you it was George Bush's fault and you believed them.
Besides, most of the richest people in this country are Liberals so blame them.
If you would like a list let me know I'll work on it for you.

It's a natural cycle within a democratic government. The gap expands due to development of new wealth and its effect on political power. Later, the gap will become so large that the larger, poorer voter-base will turn things back around. When things become more even again, the wealthy will regain power at the polls.
This cycle has always, and will always repeat itself. If you don't like it, find a way to get the lower classes to the polls every election day!

You've noticed a difference because you're biased, but what do the hard numbers say? And why is everything Bush's fault? The only powers he has are veto and police action. Neither of which is the issue.
Get a clue.

Democrats favor unemployment and welfare. I feel that if you work hard, then the richer you become. And if you slack off and rather go on welfare, then you will stay poor. You liberals need to stop blaming everyone else and start taking responsibilities for your own failures!
