Someon said this on here i think it goes like this....You don't necessarily have to be submissive...you just have to be willing to compromise, give a little, get a little...

That being said, being a *little* submissive goes a long way with men...it makes us feel proud, respected and secure...kinda like how the "small" things go a long way with women, calling you beautiful, giving little compliments about dinner and stuff, buying you little gifts, just saying "I love you".

Remember, men have big, fluffy egos! We need them stroked every once in a while. But never put yourself in a situation where you feel "below" the man. GREAT ANSWER DUDE! THAT'S what i am talking about...all the rest of you..calm down! you sound like angry, frustrated women! geez.....

I think it is important to make your man feel like he is the man as long as he has earned that privilege. This is a two way street as long as he is taking care of your wants and need then it's okay to be a little submissive.

Women (and men) should do what makes BOTH partners happy. If the woman is happy in a submissive role...fine. If she is submissive under duress, then that is wrong. There are many cultures and philosophies relating to marriage/relationships. The key is to find a partner who shares the same philosophy as you. If you can do that you will more likely have a successful relationship.

Ignore most of these morons attacking you. The truth is, Men and women were designed differently. The male species is the dominant force, the female, more submissive.

My man is exceptionally dominant. I too am submissive and yes, this works for us, we are happy. That doesn't make me a doormat either.

Submission requires STRENGTH, and SMARTS...those of us that practice it, see and know that........woman who have to be all 50/50 always end up losing...because once you start keeping score, you never win.

Yes, but I dont think because they are submissive they should be weak. It should be a respect issue and not forced. My man should be a gentleman to me and worship me, that way I feel comfortable letting him take the reins in most of the relationship. Balance is good

According to the Bible, the man is to be the head of the house and the woman is supposed to submit to him. The man is also supposed to love his wife sacrificially. Marriage was ordained by God. The concept of the wife submitting to the husband works very well when practiced in accordance with scripture.

You and your husband should have a long and fulfilling marriage if you continue to practice these principles. I realize that it's not easy in this day and age. You're setting a good example for your children (if you have any).

I'm assuming the two of you are married.

Give a little, take a little. Everything in moderation.
Compromise is the backbone of a long term relationship.

I don't think so; but my wife insists on doing certain things for me concerning dinner especially, after working my part-time jobs... it makes me appreciate her so much more. I was never used to such treatment and I pray I never do, because I would never want to take her or all the wonderful extra things she does for me, for granted.

Well good for you. What works for one couple does not work for others. As long as both of you are happy with this type of relationship then it is fine. This isn't for everybody, but that's ok.
