You didn't give a lot of background info, so here are some reasoning making this possible
1. Have you recently increased your exercise routine, lost wieght, or changed your diet?
2. Are you experiencing a lot of stress lately ?
3. Are you currently on birthcontrol and have you taken it appropriately with out mistakes?
4. Did you have an antibiotic in the last two weeks.?
If you answer yes to #1 then that could be the reason your period is late, Your exercise, diet and wieght can change your hormone levels and might be the reason your period is late.
yes to #2 stress can cause you to be late and stressing over thinking you are pregnant can also delay it.
Yes to # 3and #4 well but you in a higher risk of chance for pregnancy to occur.
The home prenancy tests are usually right on, but remember you will have more false negatives than false positives. So if you are concerned take another test first thing in the morning , when your hormone level is highest in your urine. OR go to your OB /GYN and have them do a blood test.
Good luck and hope this helps.

if you are a month late and you tested and its a negative then maybe you have been stressed or not the right nutrition even over exercising can do it ..
but not havin a period is not good ..and although the advise we get here make us feel better for the moment somtimes we always need to see a doctor if somthin is not goin right
if you think you might be pregnant and the test says negative maybe you are but you got your dates confused ...
or maybe your pregnant but the pregnancy is not gonna make it there for not enough hormone to show in a test ..most early misscarriages end up to be late periods but most of the time show on a test ..
i think you might be over stressed or not eatin enough or exercise either of these things should be talked with a doctor and maybe they can talk with ya about what is causing the stress or vitiamins ...and most important if you are pregnant and just ovulated realy late there for late hcg in your pee then you should be seen so just incase the baby has the medical checkup and you needed

Either you have done the test too early, or your not pregnant. Your period can always come way late due to illness or stress. The only way to be sure is get a blood test done at the doctor's.

If you worry, that does some times delay the period, cos your body shuts down. If you have done a pregancy test (FIRST THING IN THE MORNING) and it doesn't show you are pregnant, that does usually mean you aren't. It may be an idea to go to your GP

You could well be, you need to do the test, first thing in the morning after not peeing for at least 5/6 hours, the indicator needs to build up in your urine. You would be best going to the local family planning clinic. Good luck

This is odd! If the tests say that you are not pregnant but there is no period ,then probably not enough HCG was found in your urine sample. Try again or Visit your doctor.

Probably not. The test may not be 100% accurate but is more reliable than the frequency of your periods ! Have you just started dating ? This has always thrown my periods out of kilter.
Please use a condom !!!!!
