I think people in the United States have that attitude because it is ingrained in all of us from birth that we live in the most powerful nation in the world, because of that, we often have a subconscious ideology that we are better than everyone else

That is an ideological weapon used by US gov. since last century and in responsible dosis it helps to make a nation strong, in this case the excess has been the moto of wars and corruption.
US gov. manipulates citizens by make them believe they are superior, that they are victims and that they are under constant treath, so the fear they suffer anulates their critical thinking.

That is very stereotypical. I am from the USA, and I don't think I am better than anyone. I may think (know) I am better off in some ways, such as living conditions and water sanitation, but that doesn't mean I am better than anyone. Sorry if you think that way.

Majority of Americans don't think like that. At least I've never heard of people saying they think we're better then anyone else. I know we're not.
