It seems the Muslims are offended by the reference to violence and evil. Just what do they think they are doing in today's world? They are killing thousands of their own people in indiscriminate massacres. They are urging war and death by the sword. They are so cowardly as to not even show their faces. They fight using terror tactics causing political upheaval, economic disaster, and useless misery. This is supposed to want any sane person to want to convert? If this isn't violence and evil on a grand scale, what is? I am not Catholic, but my God teaches tolerance, love and peace. If you believe in God, you must also believe in the Devil. Allah is now siding with the the Devil. If this is not true Islam, then you Muslim's need to start cleaning your own house of God. Comments please.

To Farhan.. Clean house is not a literal statement. I know your mosques are clean and I agree, very beautiful. It means that true Muslims should start cleaning out the radicals that are killing, destroying and calling for death in the name of Islam. For them, Islam is just an excuse. They just want to murder and are like sharks on a feeding frenzy.

Your Q makes an excellent point! The comments and subsequent apology is being used to inflame an inbred hatred. They can put any label on it they want, it's still hatred! And it is only an excuse.
I'd like to try and address a few things you bring up. The reason these radicals attack individuals, as opposed to institutions, is b/c they know we are all small cogs in a bigger machine. If we're dead - or so afraid we can't/won't/don't function - the machine grinds to a stop. They have achieved their goal. They win! Exactly what they "win" I can't even guess, but it's their mind-set which is satisfied. Where we all go from there is anyone's guess.

You right about one thing "not even show their faces"
What if they are actually not doing anything but some one else is? The 9/11 for instants you tell me how on earth both towers callapsed vertically downwards? Even controlled demolition experts take a day or 2 working out how to take down a way smaller building.
Islam doesnt spread violance but peace, if it spreads violance then why is it the worlds fastest growing religion? It has been predicted in another 50 years Islam will be the worlds largest religion... so if the Byzantine is true then why is it that i never heared or read anything about violance of any way aloud in Islam? I am a Muslim (age 17) and am in college studying R.E (Islamic studies) also been studying Islam before
and i have never come accros any Prophet or the Quran and Hadith in Islam advising the followers of Allah to commit violentic acts. There is approx 1.6 billion Muslims in the world and if Muslims are terrorists then why arnt 1.6 billion Muslims bombing the world right now?
It is good that the Pope has apologized and i also dont agree with those protesting by burning and destroying a Church. There is a small minority of Muslim that commit such acts but the media makes it out as if all the Muslims are like that.
The Mosques are very clean so i dont know what you talking about, Muslim brothers help to keep it clean (thats if it gets durty which is unlickely but sometimes there is dust and other material ) Muslims have been building buetiful Mosque's before Newton came out with the three laws of motion.

Personnally i don't think he should. But everyone is like lets not upset the Muslims we could start another war or terrorist attacks. I don't mean to talk bad about the Muslim religion because in every religion there are good people and there are bad. Why can't everyone just give a big hug and get along. Completely true. Only Allah is not siding with Devil - stupid islamic militant assholes are. They only look for a reason to attack another non-islamic entity. Pope gave them that reason.
Seems to me that if they attack Vatican - that would have very bad consequences for everybody. They already stared to mess with christian churches in their countries. What's next?
Historically, every "advanced civilization" fell victim of barbarians. If we don't stop applying our humane laws in fighting these animals - we will be next. They need to be wiped out from the face of the earth with their women and children if necessary.
Because their women just bring more terrorists to the world.

it's weird that they react to those statements WITH violence, therefore proving, yet again, that those words were correct a long time ago, and still correct today.
i don't know if it's Allah or Islam at it's core that is "wrong", but i do think the followers are making him look pretty darn bad.

I think the pope should apologize. What was the point of saying what he said. It wasnt to help the current terrorist situation. He just fanned the flames.
Granted, no Christian deserves to die for what he said. A few angry rallies was all that was needed.
Islam seems like a dangerous religion since those statements.

Pope should issue no apology.
Muslims need to get off their asses and protest the actions of their own terrorist factions, not the words of the pope.
The terrorist, I am sure, are protesting the pope the loudest.
