Hello.
You didn't specify at what stage of pregnancy.
Here is what I know.
There are different kinds of bleeding that can occur during pregnancy.
The first month you can have bleeding from the embryo attaching to the uterus - normal. It tends to be a light, spotting bleeding.
You could SEEM to have a period for one, two, or up to all nine months of your pregnancy. Technically, it is not your period. Your period is a shedding of your whole uterin wall. But it is an uncommon happening. There is a clinical term for it, and I am sorry it escapes me right now. It is hormonal bleeding basically. Your body is trying to determine what to do and when confused, it has chosen to bleed. If this is the case, there is likely no danger to your baby.
There is of course, the possibility that the pregnancy is in jeopardy.
You absolutely need to contact your doc/obgyn ASAP to review your symptoms. This is just too important to take the untrained advise of Yahoo readers.
Good luck and God Bless!!!

yes you most certainly can
first if it is your first month you can have what seems to be a period maybe lighter then normal and it can be mistaken for a period when it can be actually spotting from the embryo attaching its self to your uterus ..
also some ladies have period throughout their whole pregnancy
but if you are pregnant just make sure you get checked in some cases the bleeding in pregnancy can mean somthin is not right
and somtimes can be from the placenta placed low in the uterus and presure causes it to bleed ..( but anytime not just period time) but bleeding during pregnancy any time should be checked and from there they ll see if things are fine !!
have you taken a test?
are you late?
how far along are you ?
if you have taken a test and it is negative chances are your not ..and you are having a normal period but you can retest in a few days if it is still negative and you feel you might be pregnant go see a doctor please for the wittle baby needs checked either way you should go !! and get checked its the best and youll feel better

No, a period only occurs when the egg is not fertilized and then it along with uterus lining is disposed of. Now you can have bleeding when you are pregnant, and quite often women will call this their period, but it's not. Bleeding can indicate a problem with the placenta so it should be reported to your OB ASAP.

Usually not, but it's not uncommon to have a light period the first month you are pregnant. If bleeding continues after that, see your doctor, it could be a bacterial infection or you may not really be pregnant.

Yes it is possible to still have a menstrual period. My friend didn't know she was even pregnant until she went into labor, because she still had monthly periods.

Yes. But it should be very light spotting, and only for 2-3 days. You should still talk to your doctor about this.
