Can anyone give me an idea for a term for a definitive essay? Something that's not too normal, yet not far too abstract?

Thank you. The reason I'm asking is because my subject is predictable to my professor. She knows I'm passionate about gay rights, theatre, and "atheism". I sort of want to suprise her with something totally out of character.

Well, let's see here, definitive describes something which is considered as authoritative, final or conclusive example of it's type. A version of work that is accepted as the "correct" one. And you need to give a definitive essay.......The truth behind the Holocaust? Good question........

If you want to surprise your teacher with something totally out of character from you, why not write about the wit and wisdom of George W. Bush? Or is that too abstract!?!
